Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Merchant City, making it convenient for exploring the city center. The rooms are cozy but lack soundproofing, and the service is friendly and attentive. The bustling neighborhood is perfect for shopping and dining, although street noise can be disruptive. The dining experience is enjoyable, albeit with minor timing issues. Overall, it offers good value for the prime location.
The hotel is a convenient stopover for transit travelers, offering a great location with nearby shops and luggage storage. The rooms are compact but suitable for short stays, and the staff efficiently handle check-in. On the downside, the dining options may not be appealing to all guests.
Staying on the first floor of this characterful building, I found the hotel to have a unique charm. However, the cleanliness of the rooms was below an acceptable standard, which was disappointing.
I stayed at this hotel which is smack bang opposite a nightclub, making it really loud until 4 am each morning. Although my room was quiet, a friend had a room on the side street where bars are open till 3 am. It was a bit challenging to move around the room as it was so small that the bathroom door couldn't open fully because it hit the bed, but at least I had a heads up beforehand to be ready for the noise.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, though a bit dated, were neat, tidy, and practical with plenty of coat hangers, and the bathroom was compact but functional. The cold on upper floors despite having the heating on was a downside. The service from the staff was extremely nice, but there was a hiccup with the bank card pre-authorization that I wish I had been informed about. The location, while great for the city, was noisy due to a nearby nightclub and single glazed windows. Dining was a mixed bag with limited breakfast options, making it not the best value for money.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, surrounded by restaurants and close to the train station, but the room felt a bit like a prison cell and was on the 4th floor without a lift. The service was a mixed bag, with friendly and polite staff but some odd demands and unpleasantries. The dining experience was average, with a fair breakfast selection but inedible options. Overall, a stay with both positive and negative aspects.
